Close to Home Foodie Tour

Saturday 15th October, from 10.30am

Discover the yummiest food in Canterbury, grown or made: Close to Home Foodie Tour

The Potluck Club is holding a two-part tour called "Close to home" open to anyone in Christchurch, especially student-age foodies, which starts at Christchurch Farmers' Market and ends at Presenting Canterbury.

Close to home is a free tour for Christchurch foodlovers to sample & support some of our local food heroes while meeting some other Christchurch foodies. You can meet us at whatever time suits you on the day, so you can come to one part only if you want. To make your life easy, bring cash with you on the day for breakfast/lunch or impulse buys! You do not need to be a member of The Potluck Club to join us, so invite any of your friends who are interested, or do your own tour with your friends.

Earthquake Aid

On Saturday 5th March $2062.40 was collected at the market to purchase food from stallholders for people in the hard hit areas in Christchurch.

The food is being distributed through welfare organisations. Thank you to all of those who contributed.

A big thank you to Kennedy Graham MP for organising this project.

Lovers Market

Saturday 12th February 2011 was a special market for those who were starting to feel a little romantic before Valentines Day ....

A lucky couple were treated to a specially created four course menu, cooked in front of the market crowd, by their own personal chefs from the Riccarton House Bistro.

The couple were serenaded by our very own singer Norman Engel, accompanied by Ana Pearson on piano.
