WELCOME to christchurch farmers’ market
Our Story
The Christchurch Farmers’ Market has been operating since 2004 making it one of Canterbury’s original food markets. The market is set in the idyllic open air grounds of the historic Riccarton House & Bush, also home to The Quarters Restaurant and Venue. Situated under 100 year old trees the weekly market winds itself beside the Avon River and follows past the 1856 Homestead and gardens towards the 1.8 hectare protected native bush ‘Putaringamotu’.

OUR MARKET RECIPES
Our recipes are inspired by the Christchurch Farmers’ Market vendors. Find some ideas in our recipe library. Recipes can also be found at the Market info stall on Saturdays.

Hannah has been making these brownies for many years. Having been passed the recipe by another dear friend, she has made thousands of brownies for countless people, all left smacking their lips and licking their fingers for the same reason.
