The market is held at Riccarton Grounds, 16 Kahu Road, Fendalton, a few minutes walk from Riccarton Mall or Hagley Park. Click on map link: Map

What day does the market operate on?

Every Saturday, sunshine or rain.

What time does the market operate?

The market is open from 9am - 1pm, Saturdays.

Can I take my dog into the market?

No, for food safety reasons and the comfort of customers you cannot take your dogs into the market area. You can however take your dogs onto the grassed fields beside & behind the market.

What type of payments are accepted at the market?

Different stalls accept different types of payment, most accept cash only & there is an ATM in the carpark at the start of the market, some stalls accept eftpos including PayWave contactless methods. 

Is there parking?

Does the market operate when it is raining?

Yes the market operates during inclement weather, there are sheltered areas through our the market & we encourage customers to grab a jacket or umbrella & support the stallholders.

The market may be cancelled due to EXTREME weather, particularly high winds, and notification will be on the CFM Facebook page. 

Are there carry bags available for purchase?

Yes, you can purchase an official CFM bag for $12 at the CFM information stall. 

Is there seating available?

There is some seating at the market including chairs, tables & coffee sacks (in sunny weather) We encourage you however to bring a rug or mat as there is plenty of grassed areas along the riverbank & the surrounding grounds to relax on or have a picnic.

What can I buy at the market?

There is a full range of products usually available including vegetables & fruit, fresh herbs, bread, cheeses, patisserie, beer & wine, olive oil, delicatessen goods, value added condiments plus other seasonal produce & plenty of ready to eat food. How do I enquire about becoming a stallholder? 

Head to the stallholders information page, fill out a form & email through. Please consider all aspects of your stall application including product, packaging, stall look, signage, labels & online marketing.
